  25. The best choice is to use a CPU that has an MMU in it.  FPU isn't a big 
  26. deal.  MMU allows for VMM which is inkeeping with an efficient Amiga 
  27. setup, allowing you to use less RAM.  Secondly, put the damn CPU on the 
  28. "PDS" so that it doesn't become DEAD WEIGHT when you upgrade it.  Some 
  29. people would actually appreciate the EC040 so you could sell your stock 
  30. CPU as you upgrade.

  32. Let's face it, most A1200 users will want to upgrade sooner or later. 
  33. Computer developments are too swift for people to be content with ancient
  34. CPUs with low clockspeeds forever--low end or no low end.  A hardsoldered
  35. CPU doesn't make much sense unless it is so slow it is worthless if pulled
  36. (like the current 14mhz 020s in A1200s or the 7.xmhz 68000s in older
  37. Amigas).  If you go to the bother of putting a decent CPU in there
  38. (RC030/25 or better) then it's worth it to be able to pull it.
